New Eyezen+ Lenses Offer Independent Eyecare Professionals Exclusive Solution To Relieve Digital Eye Strain And Help Protect Single Vision Wearers From Harmful Blue Light

DALLAS – April 15, 2016 – Essilor of America, the nation’s leading manufacturer of optical lenses, has launched the newest product in the Eyezen™ brand portfolio, Eyezen™+.  Eyezen™+ lenses are an enhanced, everyday single vision solution with embedded protection from Harmful Blue Light1.  Eyezen+ lenses are designed to provide patients with a small amount of accommodative relief to alleviate eye strain caused by today’s heavy use of digital devices such as tablets and smartphones. 

Eyezen+ are the only lenses in the Eyezen brand portfolio to contain the Smart Blue Filter™ feature, which is embedded into an aesthetically clear lens and designed to block 20 percent of Harmful Blue Light.

Eyezen+ lenses are offered in a wide range of prescriptions and materials. For comprehensive eye protection, Eyezen+ lenses should be combined with a Crizal® No-Glare lens treatment. Eyecare professionals can add Crizal® Prevencia® for the ultimate protection against harmful light.

There are three unique Eyezen+ lens designs available, and the patient’s age determines which design is right for them:

·        Eyezen+ 1 – patients ages 18 to 34

·        Eyezen+ 2 – patients ages 35 to 44

·        Eyezen+ 3 – patients ages 45 to 502

In order to bring new patients to independent eyecare practices nationwide, Eyezen+ lenses are supported by national consumer marketing and Essilor’s Power of Vision promotion.  Eyezen+ lenses are also supported by managed vision care plans.
